The Universal 6.2mm/6mm speaker connector is a great alternative choice over the 6.2mm standard connectors since they are built with heavy duty in mind and is compatible with older systems such as Sony, Samsung, LG, Magnavox, Zenith, Toshiba and many more. This heavy duty robust package includes a high quality overmolded connector housing with a textured surface and the polarity (+/-) is embossed into the textured finish. This aftermarket speaker connector has been designed specifically for older Home Theater systems, Audio systems and Plasma TV's that require a special Proprietary speaker connector. Most systems that require a proprietary connector will only allow you to use the specific connector that was designed for that system and only that system. This means that you can not use the same speaker cables/connectors with other systems should you decide to upgrade in the future and it makes it difficult to replace the original connector/cables if they become lost or damaged.
